Meaning

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; there is no deity but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest; Allah is the Greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise. There is no deity but Allah, the Sovereign, the Manifest Truth; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, true to his promise, the trustworthy. O Allah, make me live upon the Sunnah of Your Prophet, cause me to die upon his religion, and protect me from the misguiding trials. Glory be to You! We have not worshipped You as You deserve to be worshipped, O Allah. Glory be to You! We have not remembered You as You deserve to be remembered, O Allah. Glory be to You! We have not thanked You as You deserve to be thanked, O Allah. Glory be to You! How exalted is Your majesty, O Allah. Glory be to Allah as many times as the number of His creation. Glory be to Allah as much as pleases Him. Glory be to Allah as much as the weight of His Throne. Glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His words. O Allah, I ask You, just as You guided me to Islam, not to take it away from me until You take my soul upon it while I am a Muslim. O Allah, place light in my heart, light on my tongue, light in my sight and light in my hearing; light on my right and light on my left, light above me and light below me, light in front of me and light behind me; and place light within my soul. O Allah, benefit me through what You have taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and grant me knowledge by which You benefit me. O Allah, forgive me my sin, make my provision ample for me, and bless me in what You have provided me. O Allah, make the outcome of all our affairs good, and protect us from disgrace in this world and the punishment of the Hereafter. O Allah, purify my heart from hypocrisy, my deeds from showing off, my tongue from lying and my eyes from treachery, for You know the treachery of the eyes and what the breasts conceal. O Allah, have mercy on me by [enabling me to] abandon sins for as long as You keep me alive; have mercy on me [by protecting me] from burdening myself with what does not concern me; and grant me good insight into what makes You pleased with me. My Lord, forgive and have mercy, pardon and be generous, and overlook what You know; indeed You know what we do not know; indeed You are the Most Mighty, the Most Generous. Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.
