Wudu broke in tawaf
Wudu is generally required for tawaf.
1) Stay calm; keep the counter. 2) Renew wudu. 3) Continue from the same round. 4) Use the «Wudu broke» button.
Forgot round number
Round count matters for valid tawaf.
1) Ask your group; check the counter if you used it. 2) If still unsure, build on the lower number and complete (6 or 7? → count 6 and do one more). 3) In the Hanafi school, such doubt in the Umrah tawaf requires repeating the tawaf unless you are someone who often has doubts (Diyanet fatwas). 4) Doubts that arise after finishing are disregarded.
Sa'y direction confused
Sa'y starts at Safa. Safa→Marwah counts as one lap and Marwah→Safa as another; the 7 laps (4 out, 3 back) end at Marwah.
1) Follow signs. 2) Follow the counter direction. 3) Ask your guide if unsure.
Forgot intention
Intention in the heart is enough.
1) Renew it mentally. 2) Read miqat/tawaf intention cards. 3) Ask your guide if still worried.
Menstruation & tawaf
Tawaf of the Kaaba is not done during menstruation.
1) Do not feel ashamed. 2) Delay tawaf. 3) Read Women's Guide. 4) Ask your guide for other rites. 5) If you will not become pure before your return: Women's Guide › "If I am not pure before departure" (Diyanet fatwas).
Forgot Sa'y after tawaf
Umrah needs tawaf + Sa'y + tahallul.
1) Do Sa'y ASAP. 2) Open Sa'y counter. 3) Then haircut.
Forgot haircut
Without tahallul you have not exited ihram.
1) Cut/shave now (women: about a fingertip joint from the ends). 2) Then normal clothes. 3) Tawaf+Sa'y alone is not enough.
Perfume / makeup in ihram
Perfume is forbidden in ihram.
1) Stop. 2) Wash/wipe if possible. 3) Ask your guide about any penalty. 4) Do not repeat.
Cutting nails / hair
Cutting nails/hair is forbidden in ihram (necessity is different).
1) Tell your guide if intentional. 2) Ask even if accidental. 3) Be careful until ihram ends.
Sewn clothes (men)
Sewn clothes are forbidden for men in ihram.
1) Switch to ihram towels. 2) Tell your guide duration/intent. 3) Ask about penalty if needed.
Not a personal fatwa. Ask your guide or a qualified scholar if unsure.
